The First Ascent Venus II 55+10L Rucksack is a great choice for smaller framed hikers who still want plenty of storage for longer multi day hiking trips.
The First Ascent Venus II 55+10L Rucksack is a smaller version of the Jupiter II Rucksack, giving you 55L of packing capacity with an additional 10L of expansion space just in case. It’s a great size for women or smaller framed hikers for up to 7 day hikes with full loads.
The Venus II has been designed with comfort in mind and is length adjustable for perfect fit via the Adjustable Back System (ABS) suspension harness. The ABS suspension harness allows you to move the positioning of the shoulder straps to comfortably fit your back length, evenly distributing the pack’s load and providing class leading comfort.
The shoulder straps are firm yet padded for a sturdy yet comfortable feel and are easily adjustable for a precision fit. The position adjustable sternum strap and the hip belt ensure that the pack remains secure and your load is evenly distributed. The split toe hip belt also ensured that pressure is taken off nerve endings on the hip bones for comfortable carrying for an extended period of time.
The bag is manufactured from Microtex Core 200D fabric which is lightweight yet durable and strong. High wear areas use 1000D fabric for further improved strength. A removable rain cover is included in a zip secured base section to keep your rucksack and gear dry in bad weather.
You won’t be short for storage and organization options with this hiking rucksack. The spacious main compartment has a zipped pocket for safe storage of valuables. Your gear is easily accessible when you need it via the flight mode zipper entrance that allows you to open the pack like a suitcase too. The bag lid is removable and is ideal for use as a toiletry bag or first aid kit. The front mesh pocket is expandable for convenient access to necessities. Side expandable pockets offer additional accessible storage space with one offering output for a hydration bladder and stretch mesh pockets on the sides can easily accommodate large water bottles too. The side compression straps will ensure that your load remains stable.
Externally, you will find quick access side pockets on the hip belt and a mesh pocket on the shoulder strap for keeping small essentials, energy bars or a compact camera close to hand. Webbing loops on the lid corners on the lid corners and the sides of the pack provide additional attachment points and adjustable webbing loops on the bottom provide useful storage for your tent or sleeping bag. If you hike with poles, there are also trekking pole loops to keep them neatly out of your way when not in use.
The First Ascent Venus II 55+10L Rucksack offers you a slightly more compact hiking backpack without compromising on the ability for long multi-day hiking trips.
