Nuts and Hexes

Nuts and Hexes are passive protection gear that offer secure protection when placed in cracks in rock.
Nuts, the mainstay of passive protection, have many alternative names, including chocks, stoppers and tapers. All of these terms refer to some variety of a tapered metal wedge attached to a wire cable that has a loop on the end.
Hexes (or hexcentrics) are larger nuts with an eccentric hexagon shape that will twist and cam into parallel cracks.
