Orders placed outside of working hours (evenings, weekends, public holidays) will begin processing the following business day.

Orders are usually dispatched for delivery within the above quoted processing time after your payment has cleared. Courier transit time once dispatched is usually 1-5 business days, depending on our courier partner’s routes and workloads. Outlying regions may take a couple of days longer for delivery. Please remember that couriers do not deliver on weekends or public holidays. We will notify you on the dispatch of your order to our courier partner indicating your order tracking number. If you are provided with a delivery PIN (digital signature) for your shipment, please treat this securely – do not provide the PIN to anyone unless you are in receipt of your package, provision of this number to your delivery person will sanction parcel delivery.

Orders are sent via standard economy shipping; applies within the territory of the Republic of South Africa to street addresses routinely serviced by our national courier.

Remote Areas – Delivery to certain outlying addresses may not be possible or may attract additional delivery surcharges – in this instance we will contact you to discuss delivery options.

Special Delivery Areas – Delivery to special delivery areas may attract extra delivery surcharges. Special delivery areas include: Mines, Power stations, Plots, farms, remote areas, military bases, Game lodges, Port / Harbours, Embassies and Consulates.

In order to avoid these additional remote and/or special area delivery surcharges, you can supply us with an alternative delivery address to your billing address. Bulk Orders – We reserve the right to re-quote delivery costs on bulk orders that attract excessive delivery charges from our courier.

International Orders – Please contact us before ordering if you require delivery outside of the Republic of South Africa so that we can quote you on overseas delivery rates.

Made to Order Items – Some products will indicate that they are “Made to Order” – these are made to order by our supplier and, as such, can take longer to be dispatched. If you require a more accurate timeframe for a made to order item, please contact us before ordering.

Special Order Items – Your order will be shipped to South Africa, expected lead times will vary – please contact us for the latest estimated timeframe. Shipping times are an estimate only due to the nature of international freight shipping. Once the stock arrives in South Africa, your order is expected to be fulfilled as above. Boreal have further enhanced their most popular double boot, taking comfort and performance to another level – the Boreal G1 Lite is truly a modern classic for winter alpine ascents and 6000m peaks.

The Boreal G1 Lite’s upper is made from lightweight synthetic textiles and unlike plastic shelled boots it is soft and articulated making it much more comfortable to wear. A soft elasticated snow cuff fits snugly around the leg to keep the snow out.

Inside the upper is lined with a tough and waterproof breathable Cordura reinforced laminate. Sandwiched between these layers is 6mm of EVA foam for superb thermal insulation and the new synthetic rand material is lighter and warmer than rubber and won’t perish in the high U.V light conditions found at high altitude. The all new inner bootie is made from a very lightweight and extremely warm triple layer laminate material comprising of an outer polyurethane layer, heat reflecting aluminium film and an inner layer of insulating EVA foam.

The Boreal G1 Lite is fully compatible with automatic crampons and uses dual density crampon lugs, hard at the rear for a secure fit and soft at the front for reducing vibration when frontpointing on bullet hard ice. The advanced carbon composite midsole is rigid, yet incredibly lightweight and ample underfoot cushioning is provided by dual density shock absorbing PU and EVA layers. Finally, our choice of a deeply lugged Vibram® Teton outsole will help keep you upright on the approach.

Boreal Dry-Line® waterproof breathable lining with fully thermosealed seams. Triple Thinsulate®layers (no adhesives used) surround the foot guaranteeing maximum thermal protection with no cold spots. The sole of the bootie is covered with a durable textured TPU surface. Easy adjust ‘Tanka’ and strap closure system with adjustable fit around the instep area
Midsole: Ultralight Boreal PBG-680 carbon composite midsole with lateral torsion control. Unique Thinsulate lining for superior underfoot thermal insulation
