Orders are usually dispatched for delivery within the above quoted processing time after your payment has cleared. Courier transit time once dispatched is usually 3-5 working days, depending on our courier partner’s routes and workloads. Outlying regions may take a couple of days longer for delivery. Please remember that couriers do not deliver on weekends or public holidays. We will notify you on the dispatch of your order to our courier partner indicating your order tracking number. If you are provided with a delivery PIN (digital signature) for your shipment, please treat this securely – do not provide the PIN to anyone unless you are in receipt of your package, provision of this number to your delivery person will sanction parcel delivery.
Orders are sent via standard economy shipping; applies within the territory of the Republic of South Africa to street addresses routinely serviced by our national courier. Bulky and/or heavier items attract a delivery surcharge, total shipping fees will be indicated at checkout.
Remote Areas – Delivery to certain outlying addresses may not be possible or may attract additional delivery surcharges – in this instance we will contact you to discuss delivery options.
Special Delivery Areas – Delivery to special delivery areas may attract extra delivery surcharges. Special delivery areas include: Mines, Power stations, Plots, farms, remote areas, military bases, Game lodges, Port / Harbours, Embassies and Consulates.
In order to avoid these additional remote and/or special area delivery surcharges, you can supply us with an alternative delivery address to your billing address. If you are using a ‘care of’ delivery address, please provide the name and contact telephone number of the person receiving the delivery for you in town.
Bulk Orders – We reserve the right to re-quote delivery costs on bulk orders that attract excessive delivery charges from our courier.
International Orders – Please contact us before ordering if you require delivery outside of the Republic of South Africa so that we can quote you on overseas delivery rates.
Made to Order Items – Some products will indicate that they are “Made to Order” – these are made to order by our supplier and, as such, can take longer to be dispatched. If you require a more accurate timeframe for a made to order item, please contact us before ordering.
Special Order Items – Your order will be shipped to South Africa, expected lead times will vary – please contact us for the latest estimated timeframe. Shipping times are an estimate only due to the nature of international freight shipping. Once the stock arrives in South Africa, your order is expected to be fulfilled as above. We will endeavor to keep you updated in this process as information becomes available.
Before you finalise your order, you have the option to indicate any specific delivery instructions in the “order notes” field. We will pass these on to our courier partner for their information.
Quoted delivery times are a guide only and while CAMPCRAFT endeavours to meet the targeted delivery times, from time to time factors beyond our control can result in delayed delivery.
We reserve the right to contact customers and arrange alternative delivery methods and timelines if their delivery address is remote or to cancel and refund the order if delivery is not feasible.
The Flexopower Namib 240W Teflon Foldable Solar Panel is the next generation of the Namib series – the perfect rugged solar solution for the camper
Flexopower have introduced the next generation of their popular Namib foldable solar panels. These panels feature Teflon (ETFE) module encapsulation and shingled solar cell technology for efficient and rugged power on your next off-the-grid camping adventure.
The Flexopower Namib 240W Teflon foldable solar panel is perfect for longer term camping or for heavy loads powering multiple appliances such as camping fridges, ice maker and lights. The panel is equipped with highly efficient Mono PERC solar cells in a shingled arrangement to reduce space between cells for more power per square meter and a more compact panel. The cells are connected in groups and configured in parallel to reduce losses from partial shading compared to panels with series wired cells. These cells are encapsulated in Teflon (ETFE) – the best encapsulation for portable solar panels
The grey colour fabric used in these panels absorbs less heat from the sun than black fabric panels leading to less output losses, but is still a very practical colour ‘in the field’ when it comes to dirt smudges and fingerprints. The Namib panels have collapsible supporting legs which angle the solar panels at 45 degrees against the sun for improved solar harvesting, especially during winter months or when the sun is lower in the sky. There are also fabric loops along the panels for securing too and the fold-flat design makes storing the panel in a packed vehicle or trailer a breeze.
Shingled solar cells are connected in groups and configured in parallel, greatly reducing losses from partial shading (other panels typically have their cells wired in series, causing significant losses if part of the panel is shaded).
Shingled solar cells reduce the spacing between the cells, no silver metal strips running across the panel, reducing the footprint of the panel. Smaller panel = less packing space.
Teflon (ETFE) module encapsulation: best encapsulation for portable solar panels.
Fabric colour: the solar panel’s colour is grey, absorbing less heat from the sun, thus less output losses than solar panels built in black fabric.
Supporting legs: collapsible supporting legs angle the solar panels at 45 degrees against the sun for improved solar harvesting, especially during winter months and low sun settings.
Securing solar panel: fabric loops allow securing.
Quality assurance: each solar panel has its own unique serial number making it traceable through the entire manufacturing and QC process.
